Fred Dalton Thompson was diagnosed with cancer, but apparently they caught it early enough to treat it. He hasn't announced his candidacy for President of the United States yet, but he's leading the Republican polls and they're anticipating him to announce that he's going to run for President in 2008 any day now.

Fred Thompson is a character actor who has been on Law and Order and Bury my heart at Wounded Knee. He has also been a lobbyist, a Senator as well as checking out a run at the Presidency.
I don't know what George might have said but he is a liberal and Fred is a conservative. Do the math.

Fred Thompson, was on Law & Order, was a former U.S. Senator from Tennessee, did several movies, and is now considering whether to run for President of the U.S. and Clooney probably made fun of him because Clooney is a Liberal elitist
