no it shouldnt hurt, you shouldn't even feel it and being a virgin does not make a difference

If put in properly, it shouldn't hurt.

If you are a virgin, then it probably will hurt. Try using a smaller tampon. I think they sell Tampon lites.

nope!! even if your a virgin like i am it dosent at all!!! if u insert in correctly and get the right absorbency everything should be fine!! tampons are great!! try tampax pearl

It's not supposed too, unless it's the first time, when it breaks the hymen. But don't worry, you've probably already broken your hymen from biking, running, ect. If it hurts once it's in, then you have it in wrong, or it's not far up enough. Push it up, or take it out and start with a new one. Good luck!
