For all those people that are talking about BMI--yes it says you are underweight but its average age is 25.

How old are you? If you are in your teens, you are in the normal range. 98 lbs is in the NORMAL range until you turn 21. Then it is underweight.

Especially as you have small bone structure to begin with, you will be smaller. Check this site out--it actually factors in your AGE as well.

Don't eat all the junkfood. It is important to establish a healthy lifestyle early so that you can keep it for the rest of your life. Find activities that you enjoy--kayaking, playing tennis, swimming--and you can do those for the rest of your life.

I'm 14 and 5'4 and I weigh 108 pounds. I've been underweight my whole entire life. You are skinny, but not horribly skinny. You are fine. If you want to gain some weight so that you don't have skinny skinny legs or arms, work those muscles so that they have a lean look to them rather than a thin look.

yes, that is too skinny for your height and age. you are at 17.9 bmi, which means you are underweight. you should be atleast over 100 pounds at the height of 5'2 (the only time it's healthy to be under 100 pounds is if you are at a height of 4'11 or smaller, or if you are a child). 105-110 is a more healthy weight range for that height. the problem might be that you have no muscle mass. try gaining more muscle at the gym and changing your eating habits. nix the junk food and eat more protein, veggies, and fruit. it's important to try to be healthy now, so you can stay that way the rest of your life and not have health prolems as you age (not to mention you will live a lot longer). treat your body right and it will treat you right in return :)

If your 5'2" your ideal weight should be around 110 lbs. I am 5'2" and i weigh around 105 lbs I go to the gym 3 times a week and was told I was under weight. I've been told several times I look to skinny and when people tell you this do not take it the wrong way and just try to work at staying healthy and eating the right things. I am currently trying to gain weight to be in my ideal weight range so I can stay healthy and look healthy.

you may be too skinny but it depends what your family looks like. and you should try eating less junk food because if it doesnt do anything to you now it will in a few years when your metabolism slows down. because yours is probably fast if you eat "more junk food than an average person" and dont seen to gain weight.

i think its a little skinny but nothing dangerous. just eat all the servings of all the food groups like your supposed to and you'll be fine. plus going to the Gym helps you keep fit. not necessarily skinny but strong because it works your muscles.

Walk to a co-worker's desk to chat rather than instant messaging.

it sounds like you just have a fast metabolism. try looking at your mom because daughters usually look like that when they get to be that age. you could probably put a few pounds on but dont worry about it. try asking some of the trainers at your gym for tips on how to gain muscle if you are really worried about it.

Eat in front of a person rather than a screen. It cuts down on mindless eating and allows you to more accountable for each chunk.
