someone thats different then all the previous women they've dated. atleast he said thats why he chose his wife. he realized she wasnt like the rest. she was more serious and just looked like someone that would be perfect for taking care of children, able to cook and just take on a motherly role.

So my question is: is this true for you men out there? for the ones that are married or single or whatever. do some of you just date women for fun? just to have a girlfriend? or do some of you actually look more into it when choosing a girlfriend? do you ever have possible marriage in your minds?

i feel like i just made that question really confusing.

Of course, who doesnt, I myself have never dated someone who i just like, you want someone you can stay with for a while (marraige).

what i want in a girl, im 17 (im honest)

brown or blonde hair, someone shorter then me, someone about my age, slim, sexy, got breasts, cute face (important) (although this could mean a totally different thing for someone else but i know what I like).

But most of all someone who is happy has a nice smile, is genuinely nice and understands you, actually cares, someone who you want to be around and brightens your day up when you see them, and has some form of a "sense of humour", i dont want someone who doesnt know how to laugh only be serious. Someone who talks more then me cause i dont talk much. (all of these things bring out the best in me especially being around people who are sociable)

And also, the good wife thing i think about too, eventually i want children some day so sub-conciously id be thinking would she be a good mother in the long run.

us guys would think about this in about half of the time you girls would. Everyone is different, but this is what i look for, but i guarantee you guys look for girls with something they like in there looks (we say it is essential), more then girls do, anyway.

Before I got married I was looking for intense relationships but not looking for a wife or children. Therefore I paid no attention to whether I'd want to marry a woman I was attracted to. In fact I preferred women who clearly weren't interested in marriage and child(ren). When I met my wife-to-be, I wasn't actively looking for a wife, but I realized eventually that she was the one.

I think a big part of it is that as men get more mature, they lose interest in neurotics and drama queens and are more attracted to stable personalities that can manage a happy marriage.

The first answer makes a good point that your question is loaded with sexist assumptions. I certainly would never reject a woman because she didn't cook.

why do woman always have to represent popping out kids and cooking for their man... Maybe men are looking for a woman who can have better self respect than that and also be a fantastic lover by night. Not every man wants a woman to be barefooted and pregnant.
