Legally, dogs are supposed to be vaccinated every year. In actuality, the vaccinations last longer. You shouldn't have your pregnant dog get the rabies vaccine though. It could affect the puppies. Wait until the puppies are weaned. Here's my source.
CAN A PREGNANT PET BE VACCINATED?
It is important that live vaccines (see above) NOT be used in pregnant pets. This is because a "modified" virus that will not cause illness in the mother, may still be strong enough to infect the unborn puppies or kittens. Killed vaccines may be given during pregnancy though, as a general rule, it is best not to give any medical treatments during pregnancy if it can be avoided. While the administration of killed vaccines is commonly performed in large animals and food animals, it is not routine for dogs or cats.

It states on the vaccine insert that it should not be given to pregnant dogs. Copies of the inserts are on the net for you to look at.
Rabies is controlled by the states. Some states have a 1 year protocol, some have a 2 year protocol, and some have a 3 year protocol.
As for duration of immunity, the shot is good for at least 7 years. Read the Wisconsin University weblink

So there is no hurry to get the dog a rabies. Wait until she has had and weaned her pups.

Unless you live in a state that says your dog must have a rabies vaccination every year, after the initial 1 year booster you only need to give it every 3 years. No a pregnant dog should never recive a rabies vaccine.

Please do some real research before deciding to vaccinate and how often. This is a lot of controversy with this subject.
