Well First Decide what kind of station you want to work for like Talk Radio, Music (pop,rock,etc..)

From there you will have to have a interview and they will ask you questions on why you want to work in radio, and what your know about music. The big question will be, Will you work on a Holiday, because people still like to listen to radio.

So really all you have to do is go into a station, get a hold of a person who will interview, good luck

I work in radio, and right not it's not an easy path. The way I went about it was to go to a technical school for broadcasting. A college degree doesn't carry that much weight when it comes to radio, but proficient skills do. Right now getting your foot in the door is very difficult. Most stations are cutting costs and cutting staff. I'm not sure how old you are, but an internship might be the best path (even if you're in high school an internship could open doors). If you want to work on the promotions end or have no experience at all I would suggest you apply to work as part of the street team... that will get you a chance to impress the folks that work there and hopefully they'll take a liking to you. If you want to work on production (and have no experience), you really should learn a computer program called "nexgen" which is also called "prophet"... that's the industry standard and you'll have a hard time getting your foot in the door without knowing this program. Be prepared to work for peanuts... or less until you can get established. Also I would suggest you learn golf... radio folks seem to love golf and it's a great way to get a little extra time with the people who make decisions. It's a hard road and I wish you the best.

Depends what you want to do - if you want to become an accountant or administrator in a radio company aplly in the normal way or get wokr through and agency.

If you want to become a presenter - Get experience: volunteer at your local hospital/college radio, contact your local radio station to ask about helping out - with successful experience of radio and then you can approach larger radio stations and enquire about work experience/ paid employment and eventually you may be given a slot very early in the morning or late at night, then if you prove that you're any good you can work your way up getting the better slots etc - its a long hard slog so perseverance is the key

Go to college or technical school and study broadcasting or mass communications. Most stations prefer their employees to have college degrees these days, so the educational aspect is important.

Get really good at saying controversial things. Or go to college and work hard, perhaps in the broadcast communications field.
