Hair grows about 1/2 inch a month ~ so 1 year. But you'll most likely have to get a trim during that time so it will take longer than 1 year for 6 inches of HEALTHY growth.
Your hair grows faster in the summer ~ and it varies with every person some grow more than a 1/2 inch and some less.

I think hair grows about an inch or so a month, so I would figure about 6-8 months.

hair normally grows with 1 inch every 2-3 month. So an year and a half probably. But don't forget that the period vary and it depends on the strength and health of your hair.
Or instance my sis's hair is growing with 1 inch every at least 6 month because it's in terible condition - split ends, brakage, she is dying her hair blond.

About a year. Hair tends to grow about 1/2 inch a month, but it does grow faster in summer (slower in winter).

I would have to say wait about 6-12 months, depending on how quickly your hair grows, basing it off of how fast it grows between haircuts and how often you get haircuts. If you want it to grow faster, every few weeks, get a tiny trim and the hair recieves nutrients better, and grows faster. Also, brush it a lot from the scalp down, bringing the natural oils throughout the hair to replenish its nutrients. Good luck!
