I have a delayed food allergy, very hard to pin down what things, I know everyone is different, but a list of say "this food or pesticide has often caused this symptom" would be really helpfull.
Mine are lip itching, severe headache and hot localized welt/hive/bumps only on my face....if this sounds simular, I would like to know.

The 8 most common food allergies are: fish, shellfish, treenuts, peanuts, dairy, wheat, egg, and soy.

Try keeping a food diary. Write down everything you eat, what symptoms you get and when they start. Do this for several days and see if you notice a pattern.

You should find an allergist and be tested as well.

That sounds like a shellfish or seafood allergy. Symptoms involving the face and lip are very common with seafood allergies.

Try to avoid anything containing fish and see what happens.

When you get a reaction, take Benadryl. It will calm the symptoms down.

It's always best to see your doctor for this because food allergies can become severe.

Yes, there are lists out there of the most commonly allergic foods. There are also lists of the foods least likely to cause an allergic reaction. Personally, I am allergic to more foods on the least common list! I suggest keeping a food diary: write down everything you eat and drink and also keep track of when you have a reaction. Some of my reactions are an 8-12 hour delay, so I know it can be hard to figure it out sometimes.

Everyone's different. I had stuffed nose from foods and runny nose from environmental problems, but only figured this out as I eliminated allergies, since prior to that, I was ALWAYS stuffy and runny simultaneously! Look into NAET (www.naet.com) as a way to figure out what's causing what and how and what to treat.
