SOME of the haze and fade can be remedied to a lesser degree, but most of it is caused by the UVa and UVb, the same thing that causes our sun-burns and cataracts on our eyes.

…for an introduction to one of the best products around for this purpose.
But be warned, the ONLY thing that will restore the NEW appearance to the lenses is to replace them with new assemblies.
You should know that they AIN'T CHEAP!!

I renew then quite often in the autobody shop.Even lenses that are really bad can be made clear again by using rubbing compound with a high speed polisher.Removing the haze by hand is not going to work too great, you can probably use a buffing attachment with an electric drill and strong rubbing compound. It's pretty hard to do any damage to them, the plastic is pretty tough.
