Not hot enough for gage to be in danger zone not even close. Added antifreeze after it cooled down. Still won't start. Replaced plugs and wires, Dist cap, fuel filter. Pump running, It wants to start. It's firing but it's not getting any gas. Injectors? Timing? Someone mentioned a fuel pressure regulator. Where is it? Can anyone please help? I can't afford to keep replacing parts or get a mechanic. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but I'm stymied by this one. The car was maintained exellently. The guy had all the paperwork on every thing he ever did. He fixed everything. The tranny is strong, the motor purrs. I got an exellent deal. This man put new tires on it before he would sell it to me!!! The sticker price is still in the glove box. I know it's a good car. Please help.

Take off the air filtr and assembly so you can see if it is gatting gas.

If not I would replace fuel filter.

You can remove the inlet line from the carb and turn the key to see if it pumps gas to the engine.

Three main components to make yore car to run. 1 air ,2 fuel ,3 spark. If you dint have id er one of them engine on yore car wold not run at all.Plus if you don't have the same compression in all cylinders, or no compression at all. Ho me any miles on your car wen you perches car? Check if you have spark on all 4 cylinders.Remove spark plugs one at time, to determine if you have spark,if you remove plugs and they ar dry that tell you, you don't have fuel delivery at all.Your fuel injectors plugged, or fuel pump check valve is bad. There no fuel pressure in the fuel system, or fuel pressure regulator diaphragm is leaking, and fuel pressure regulator is bad. Engine on your car driven by timing chain, not timing belt. Open radiator cup and SE if coolant in radiator green and clear. Or if coolant have presents of engine oil. if engine oil present in the coolant system that tell you your engine head gasket is bad, and you don't have compression at all. Check your fuses for engine computer, fuel pump if it has one or fuel pump relay. Fuel pressure regulator on your car is under intake manifold in fuel rail, bay the fuel injectors. check your ignition timing, and fuel pressure. Check if you have fuel in fuel tank, at least 5 or more gallons of gas.
