You can wash away the dust with a garden hose and blow dry with yard blower then use silicone spray to shine up hoses or a product called motor shine that leaves things a little to greasy oily. For me I just like clean wipe with a armorall damp rag just keep armorall off the outside painted surfaces.

First off, i am gonna gues syou want to clean your engine bay? like make the appearance of your engine bay a lot nicer? Second, i dont know what Kragen auto store is. Also, i would try and find something "simple green high concentrated degreaser" May not say those exact words, but you get the idea. It comes in a dark hand-spray bottle and costs about 5-6 bucks. spray it in you engine bay and hose it off. Be sure to avoid the battery and the distributor while doing this, otherwise you'll have to wait until it COMPLETLY dries before being able to drive it again
