Wow!
Is it just me or is everyone here stupid?
Her weight is really at the limit for her age.
For an 11 year old who is about 5 feet tall the average weight is from 85 - 110 pounds.
Starving herself is not the answer though!

All she needs to do is move her body more, find a sport.
Remember to always have fruit and veggies through out the day.
She should have more veggies than fruit, fruit should be consumed before 4:00 pm.
Make sure she snacks on whole wheat breads for her usual sandwhich (if she likes to have one for the afternoon).
Make her more involved in tea with her sandwhich or light sugar biscuits (for the afternoon).
Substitute fizzy drinks with sparkling water, like grape flavour as her grape Fanta?
Nothing fried, not too many carbs (these should be consumed more for her breakfast).

One more thing, to help flush away her body toxins and to help her have a healthy diet, make sure she drinks 7 - 8 glasses of water through out the day!

Hope I helped... :)

No, a 5'2'', 110lb, 11 year old girl is at a healthy weight. According to the Kids Energy Calculator, she should shoot for the following intakes of calories:
Sedentary-1791
Moderately Active-2106
Active-2401
Very Active-2894
The calculator can be found at http://www.kidsnutrition.org/energy_calculator.htm
Remember these are only estiamtes, and personal metabolisms vary widely.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

A 5'2" 110 pound girl should not be trying to lose weight. She should focus on being active and healthy. Play sports, or start walking or jogging.

Don't worry about calories, just eat healthy, natural food and avoid fast food or lots of packaged food. Also try to keep active by doing things like walking or riding a bike. There is no need to worry about weight as long as you have healthy habits.

no... that really is not fat. you should be encouraging her to love her body. not judge her. if she wants ur help shell ask. but how do you think your friend is gunna feel when you say to her "i think your really fat. heres how to lose weight... " she may not look like you but beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. back off gf. shes only 11 and your probably 11 too. you shouldnt be so concerned about that kinda of stuff and she still has plenty of growing to do.

A simple way to find out if someone's weight is o.k. is this:
100 lbs for every 5ft
5lbs for every inch after that

so if your friend is 5'2" she is right on track.

i hate people like you. you should raise your friends self-esteem not lower it. if she really was fat that would be a different story but she's NOT so back off. sounds like your the one with a problem.
