Yes pearl harbor beng bombed the USSR leader stabing us in the back are all good evidence of our failure to learn from mistakes those mistakes happended and keep happinging today

No, we're just geographically isolated and so have a mindset that makes us less cosmopolitan than others in our views. This works both ways, too. The Soviets, for instance, couldn't understand during the Cuban missile crisis why we were so upset to have a military threat on our border, since that's the normal state of affairs in Eurasia. And even Americans themselves, even moreso others, look askance now at our motives in Iraq, because nobody else is so altruistic in international affairs, though we usually do it clumsily.

Before you come to such conclusions on the United States you need to read more World History. Go ahead! You will find that we learn no slower than most countries have. Also many of them have a much bloodier history.

No. It just proves that all powers make mistakes, superpowers even more so, and a hyper-power can't avoid making them most of the time. And that it helps if you have a bunch of ideologues and dogmatists at the helm.
