I have seen a lot of very poorly done CMA's.

I haven't ever heard of anyone charging for them, but I have heard of people charging for broker price opinions (which are similar to CMA's). For BPO's $75 may be close to what is charged by those people.

I have always put a lot of time and energy into my CMA's and feel they are worth much more than that. I offer them for free so that people can see how much effort I put into getting them top dollar. If all you are doing is letting a computer program spit out those things that are worthless but use up a lot of paper and no thought, then you would make a big profit on $75.

I have never heard of a real estate agent charging for a CMA! In our region. They give them for free and do a d%#@m good
job too. The market is terrible and to ask a seller to pay you for a CMA is a real turn off. Our MLS is very complete and anyone can do their own CMA if they take the time to research the market.

I work for an Assist2Sell office an I don't charge anything to do a CMA. I think a free CMA is a good tatic to use to get listing presentations
