Your lease contract, if any, may cover this situation. Read it thoroughly. If there is no contractual lease, you MAY be obligated to reimburse him for actual damages to the INTERIOR of your unit, but not to any 'common areas'.

Depending on the lease agreement. You might be responsible for damages with reimbursement up to a certain amount with a police report.

If you have a good relationship with your landlord you might be able to get him to fix any damages to the property. It would benefit him in the long run if he wants to lease it again anyway.

As long as you have a police report though, and the kind of damage done to the property you shouldn't be liable for repairs.

police report documenting evidence done by burglary then no you are not held liable. thats why they have homeowners insurance~~! tell this scumbag to call his insurance company and claim the damages with your police report instead of charging you~
