It means explosive . to use it in a sentence someone would say that person has a volatile temper.

If liquid A is more volatile than liquid B, this means that at a certain temperature, A has a higher vapor pressure than B.

Because it has a higher vapor pressure and is more volatile, liquid A will boil at a lower temperature than B.

In any liquid, there are few molecules that turn into the gas phase if they have enough kinetic energy to overcome the intermolecular forces (think of this as occurring near the "exposed" portion of the liquid). Then there are also those gas phase molecules that condense back into the liquid form. There is a equilibrium amount of the compound A in the gas phase where the rate of gas formation and the rate of gas condensation are equal. The pressure this amount of gas exerts at any specific temperature is called its vapor pressure. If the vapor pressure is higher for a certain compound, it just means it is easier for this compound to "escape" the liquid phase and turn into a gas. This is why it boils at a lower temperature.
