If the Commander-in-Chief is a crackpot, shouldn't the officer corp at least have the guts to deal with a little career endangerment? GI are getting killed and maimed, in my opinion for nothing. The least they could do attempt to stop this foolishness.

They would all get arrested. When you swear in to the service you accept that you follow all lawful comands given you by your chain of command directly disobeying them will get you in serious trouble especially if you are an officer.
P.S. No matter how ill advised or stupid the order might be. Now, if an officer at the beginning of the war said he would have nothing to do with initiating an illegal war he would have some legal grounds there. However, at this point an order is an order and it must be carried out.

The Generals, and Bush, know more than you or your lame 'friends' do what a critically important matter this war is. The terrorists aren't playing a game, and we MUST NOT, either. They REALLY DO WANT TO KILL US !! If the damnocrits bring the troops home, the terrorists will follow them home and start slaughtering us on the streets we live on. Haven't you noticed that there have been no bombings here like there have been in Britain, Spain, Germany, Russia, Egypt, Lebanon, and the 30 some other countries the Muslims are attacking??? 9/11 was Al Qaeda's Declaration of War on the World !! AND THEY ARE DEADLY SERIOUS !! Notice that it was the WORLD Trade Center and the U.S.A. is part of the World they want to destroy. THEY WILL NOT STOP just because you don't take them seriously. THAT will just make YOU easier to kill.
As long as we keep killing them over there, they will be too busy to come here. (Hopefully!) WAKE UP AMERICA !!!

Warrr, Sammy, the war is overr.... war, Sammy, we're at the war's end.
The war is only over when we want it to be. The US will not let us go out without a fight, which may or may not be a good thing. If we surrender and suddenly pull out without reason the US is an even larger target to terrorist attacks or fighting on US soil.
The government failed to realize it was a mistake to begin with. Does anyone honestly believe anything is better over there than it was 4 years ago?

We can't just do that! We made an OATH! Any officer that walks into the Oval Office and says that is guilty of treason and they should be shot as such. Yes, soldiers are dying, we don't want it that way but that's how it is. Our job is to make sure are soldiers are prepared to deal with any situation that is handed to us with the equipment we've been supplied. It's not an easy fu.ucking job but we do it.... No madman should be able to take charge of our Nation, right under the eyes of our commanders, and our congress, if they continue to do this and to allow this man to do this, they need to be brought up on charges as well as the madman they are bowing to.

It's Simple... They would be guilty of mutiny (treason) against the United States and would be thrown in prison. Our GIs are not dying for nuthing... They are defending us, even you, from terror. Have we had another Sept 11th since the war on terror began? It must be working... What our GIs are doing is not foolish...

if that would happen, it would be the greatest thing to happen in my lifetime. everyone with intelligence knows that nothing is going to come of this war. its all over oil. hes smiling all the way to the bank. chaney has a lot of stock in a company that was given the contract to rebuild every thing we destroyed. george w bush will be remembered as the worst leader this country has ever had. i guess he can pride himself in that.

Many high military officials have told Bush to pullout the war is wrong but he will not listen. If they tell him that he just replaces them. Sorry he thinks he is the Dictator not the President and he listens to no one. I write my Federal representative all the time but the Dems have no back bone. I don't know what to do but wait until 2008.
