favorite technique is to convince him that he's hard-working and wealthy and that the envious Democrats want to tax away his hard-earned money to give to the unworthy poor. In reality, joe-republican is a lazy slob. He's also dirt poor. And no one envies him or his paltry assets.
Unable to set aside his bigotry, he predictably votes against his own best interests every time. The GOP breaks open a bottle of champagne and makes jokes about him behind closed doors.
Is this why joe-republican is also known as a "useful idiot"?

This is a laugh, The dems have stated that they will stop the tax cuts giving the American people the biggest tax increase in history and you think its a Republican plot. I am a republican and I have been working all my life, far from being a "lazy slob" my taxes have most likely help support you. I am no bigot, its Democrats that play the race card in every election, then ignore blacks the rest of the time. You want to see a useful idiot, look in a mirror.

I used to be an atheist liberal who voted independent that became a Christian conservative who votes republican. I became that way because of the deeply held conviction within me, not because of what people say.
Anytime the democrats want to choose to have canidates that are principled and conservative, Ill vote for them. But that party seems to be well beyond that doesnt it?
I think the only idiots out there are the people that endulge in their personal hatred of both conservatives and Christianity starting with the liberal media filtering down to joe-liberal that says he hates Bush and cant name a single true reason or shred of evidence.

Right-wingers pull this in order to divide the non-rich against each other: salaried professionals against union workers, workers against unemployed, Christian Right against homosexuals, men against women. Much the way they used racism as a tool to divide the working class throughout much of history (still today, but far less so)
Bigotry is a tool used by the rich and powerful to keep the little people fighting each other instead of forming a united front against capitalist greed.

the only bigots i ever knew were democrats. they created the KKK and the black Panthers. The Democrat Party was the party of slavery and the confederacy. just ask Senator Byrd.
