has anybody ever had a real bad sunburn

I am blessed with having olive colored skin, so I don't burn easily.
When I was about 14 years old, my family and I went to the Gulf of Mexico, outside Beaumont, Tx. I spent the entire day in the water. I received the worst sunburn I have ever had before or since, I even burned my eyes, talk about a headache!

Yes. I ended up in the ER. All the nurses were coming to take a look at my face. They said I had the worst facial sunburn they had ever seen. My face was swollen 3x the normal size and my eyes were swollen shut. I looked like a freak show exhibit. lol. All because I was on a boat fishing on a chilly, overcast day.

Yes, when I was little. Since I was 18 though, I have been a faithful user of sunscreen and it has paid off! At 45, I do not show the same signs of aging as my sun-worshipping friends.
