Yes, it hurts, but the pain doesn't last very long. Depends where you live, concerning the age. Most places, it's 16, but beware of anyone who's willing to tat you at a younger age. It won't pop your vein, and the whole thing should only take minutes to do. I have scroll writing on the upper part of my wrist, which took 5 minutes to do. Bit like a blunt dart going in your skin, but you soon get over the shock. For any tattoo, think hard about it, it's there for life. Take notice of what to do regarding after-care, creams, etc. My brother, he's a tat artist, done mine. He's meticulous when it comes to tat hygiene, and gave sound advice, including wrapping the tattooed area in clingfilm for several hours after, to guard against infection. Good luck

I have the word MORTIFERA tattooed right across my inner wrist. You will NOT nick any blood vessels or anything. A reputable artist knows what s/he is doing. It's perfectly safe, just make sure they use brand new needles.

It does hurt a bit, because it's a sensitive area, but moreover the noise of the needle bugs me (I have two tats and plan to get more).

One more thing, because the area is so delicate, your tattoo may itch more than a tat somewhere else. DO NOT SCRATCH.

Most tattoo parlours will not give you a tattoo if you're under 18. You will need a to bring a parent or guardian. Perhaps, if your parents won't consider this, you have a more understanding aunt or something? I'm not sure how to get around that.

I know I've seen a couple places that will do 16 years and up, because you can actually live legally on your own at 16. I would call around and find out.

Well I got a tattor on my wrist when I was 18 Years old without my mothers signature .. About 2 months before I got pregnant .. But I think you have to be 16 with a parents signature. Diff ages in diff places. But Like I said I got one on my wrist it goes all the way around and it didn't bleed much. I actually added my sons name to it after he was born and it didn't hurt much at all .. The honest truth is .. If your getting it on your wrist .. Look into your tattoo artist .. See if he has any pictures of wrist designs he's done! And the only place it will really really hurt is if you get it on the side of your wrist where your bone sticks out .. Other than that its the regular pinch and sting! Hope this helps .. It looks a lot worse than it is .. ITS ALL IN YOUR HEAD!. lol

Yes, you can get a tattoo on your wrist. I don't have one there, but I've heard it can hurt pretty bad, but I can't personally say. And I believe that the age may depend on where you live. The shop I go to will only do a tattoo on someone UNDER 18 with a parent's signature AND it has to be notorized! Good Luck!

It won't pop a vein. They don't go quite that deep. I would wait until you are 18 anyway. That way, you have more time to think about what you want toget for sure. Deciding on tatoos should be done with lots of thought because you don't want to regret them later. I have 3 & I don't really like my first one anymore, I got it at 19.

1. You can get one on your wrist, the needle doesn't go in that far.
2. I'm not sure if it hurts to get one there but I got one right over my spine and it didn't hurt.
3. it all depends on the place you go to. Some places you can be 16 and have your parents okay it. Other places you have to be 18.

Hope this helps. And always remember. above the cuff, below the collar. You can cover them easily.
