She just found it and had it removed, but he's been spying on very very personal convo's between us (info that could ruin her). I know it's illegal, but what actions can be taken, or what can she tell him to scare him (legal jargon, etc). When confronted, he said "offices do it". But we all know companies can have legal rights to company emails, etc, and he knows better than to give such a lame excuse. Anyway to prove it was him or what kind of burden of proof is necessary?

I'm sure you know a key logger is a program that sits on the computer, a new keyboard won't fix the problem so please ignore that answer.

It's clear that neither the girl nor the guy can trust each other. I hope they both uinderstand this and stop seeing each other.

If the guy does have evidence of some sort that could ruin the woman, then the woman will want to meet with a lawyer.

I wish you and your friend the best of luck.

First break up with him.
Then stop talking to him and stop responding to anything he does.
Change all the passwords to all accounts.

Why are you both being so stupid as to continue use your email for "info that could ruin her" ? You know he may have access to the email accounts. If you are using your work email for these conversations, you are both morons; all company emails are almost always recorded.

If he continues to spy and harass, file a police complaint for stalking, spying, and stealing your account numbers.

Sue him for the cost of removing the spyware. Have a receipt for computer repairs to remove the keylogger. Have a witness that can say they saw him install the keylogger or say that they were present when he claimed to have installed a keylogger on your computer.

Well here's what I'd do. Mess with his mind. If he put another keylogger on there start typing stuff that would make him think that she's cheating on him, or something along those lines. Or, you can tell him that it is illegal on the lines of invasion of privacy and can run along on the same terms as someone who would puposely place a virus on a computer just to destroy it. That should take care of him.

First of all, i hope that your friend broke off that relationship. Secondley talk to a lawyer. Call a law office or something. it sounds like he admitted it when he was confronted and all he said was "offices do it". he didnt deny it. i would go above him and talk to someone in the law field. hope this helps

She should just dump him and move on.

Before dumping him, give him something to think about. Give him some juicy gossip to quell his thirst.

Then dump him.
