Well setting foot on Venus would be suicide because of the temperature and acidic atmosphere, a astronaut wouldn't last 2 minutes on the surface of Venus. Mars on the other hand is a little more forgiving of an environment the temperatures of Mars are extreme but no were as bad as Venus, astronauts would have a much easier time on Mars.

The surface temperature on Venus is in excess of 800F, with an atmospheric pressure of 90 earth atmospheres. You really don't want to go there. :-P

Mars on the other hand is better.. At the equator during the Martian summer, the temperature is around 0 degrees celsius, though the atmospheric pressure is only 1/100 that of Earth's. You can survive on the surface of Mars for a little while in a spacesuit, though you probably want to get underground in a hurry to shield yourself from the radiation-- Mars has no magnetosphere to protect you against radiation coming in from space like Earth does.
