find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Remember what needs to change is the conditioning of your self. So start with your mindset -everything that happens starts in your mind. You think about what you are going to do and then you do it. So you've now started -I found focusing and eating vegetables, fruit and protein is the best way to kick start your metabolism. Cut out sweets, soda pop and bread. If you have one of these it's not the end of the world -continue on. For breakfast try eating something like sausage, eggs and juice. Lunch have some sauteed veggies with some spices -get creative. For dinner have SMALLER helpings of whatever is for dinner. And always, always go to bed hungry if you can't handle going to bed hungry try having a cup of soup. It's hot and will fill you up so you can sleep but won't be filling. When you feel like it start walking in the neighborhood -if you have a dog I'm sure he will do his part to help you out.

you can't lose that much weight fast. You are young and you want to do everything fast. But I agree it is important to lose it it's bad for your health! I can only suggest changing your lifestyle, eat better. Add fruits and vegetables and plenty of good fiber foods to your diet. Don't do the fast food thing it's crap. You have to get into a exercise program, cardio, strength training. Walking and swimming are great! You got to do at least 30 minutes 5 days a week. Hun, it is not gonna be fast and you don't want it to, cause if you lose weight fast it just comes back and more! Good luck!

Well my younger brother was 269lbs about a month ago he is now 250lbs. His secret is that he has cut back on his chocolates and crisps and above all he has cut back on his portions of food instead of having a large bowl of cereal he takes a small portion of it. He takes small fries instead of going for large ones.

everything is now low fat and specially low calories. he takes fruit sugars or low calorie sugars instead of regular sugar.

I think it all depends upon how serious you are. He has made up his mind that he will loose 5lbs in one month and he makes sure that he abides by his daily food routine.

other things which helped him were
* that he sleeps only 8 hours a day.
* less television
* more studies (he walks around his room when he is reading his biology)
* bit of stomach crunches and streching in the morning. evening and before sleep.

Trust me this has helped him alot. try to motivate yourself by having a friend or family member who will support you it really is a good thing.

It also helps A LOT in following a plan instructed by professional organisations like weight watchers etc.

good luck with your weightloss.

Try Weight Watchers. It's a great program. And for the first poster.. WW is designed for people who even want to lose just 5 or 10 pounds. Anyone can do it.
Good luck.

Go to www.sparkpeople.com. You can learn how to lose weight the only effective way there is: counting calories and exercising. You won't be able to lose the weight in less than a year. That's just not possible. But, don't let that stop you from starting now.

Unfortunately there is no fast way! Trust me I know! I have recently lost 100 pounds It took me 11 months and that was very difficult but I did it and now I feel wonderful! You have to get into it and excercise every day and eat right! That is the only way there is no quick fix! I wish you good luck on your journey. I finally have my confidence back.

theres no "fast" way as u call it to losing weight, unless if you consider plastic surgery WHICH i would not recommend to a 15 yr old, go to a dietician and personal trainer to learn to eat and exercise right and give it a few months at least, remember, you are what u eat

the fastest and healthest way is to give up food after 5:00 p.m. and no cheating. you will never have another weight problem again. it has worked for me for over 20 years. trust me, it works. a walk around the block every night doesn't hurt either. you don't have to give up your whole life to be thin. when you loose the first twenty pounds let me know....you are going to feel like a million dollars. i'm am proud that you are addressing this issue. please trust me on this.
