And why does most of the choices that you know are for the best feel so lousy at first?

Think about it Brett.

We always want what we can't have.

And some of the most important choices in life you regret at first, but later find that it was best.

Good news,
Amen and amen again.

I always tell people I can cry about what I never got or I can cry that my prayer God answered. People are never happy they always want what they cant have. We have all we need there are people that don't have hardly anything at all.

When I feel I don't have something I want I think of Luke 12:48 Where much is given much is required where much is required all the more of you will be asked.

Meaning the more god gives you the more God expects of you and the more that others will ask of you and that can be a blessing or a curse at times.

Trials are a part of life and the best choices are usually the hardest and toughest to go through any thing worth having does not come easy. Any thing work having is worth working for.

Exactly! Because of Hope! Did Aragorn think that resisting Mordor was impossible? Did Gandalf sail for the Undying Lands before the War of the Ring? Did Galadriel take the Ring of Power which she could easily have done? NO!

They reached for the hope that they had in Sauron being defeated. And his armies though vast, and the armies of men no where near what they used to be, but hope sustained them, and as it sustains us.

We have hope in the Lord Jesus that there will be an end to all of this madness, and those who are in his camp are blessed with what he promised us with; eternal life without the shackles of sin to bind us.

Oh death, where is thy sting,
Oh grave, where is thy victory?

We all want our dreams to come true. Some important choices mean you have to give up something, this is why you hurt at that moment.

It is the need to rise above all, to stop our powerlessness. To be able to touch that which make us feel small. In simple words, for just one moment be like a god, and finally be able to grasp eternity.

I know whatcha mean -- I reach for the expensive chocolates in the Godiva Chocolate shop, but they keep them in those damned glass cases to keep me from actually touching them.

WTF? ... What are *you* on? ... Is this English, 1st Language?
Can't answer reasonably - Can't relate: Try Parse/Retransmit.

[Edit]: Re Add. Dtls.: This may be *your life*; but t'ain't *mine*!
1. WRONG: "We always want..."
2. WRONG: I seldom regret, but when I do, there's a reason!

( I note a definite paucity of answers - Think about it, GN. )
