okay well, Area = L times W, so Area: 8 feet( 7 feet ), 8 times 7 is 56, so the anwser for the Area is 56 feet 2 ( squared )
I beleive the perimeter is 30 feet?. Not sure how to lable it.
Hope I helped with the area atleast.

The perimeter means add up the measurements of the four sides, so 8 feet long on the two long sides = 16 feet, then 7 feet wide on the two "wide" sides = 14 feet, so the perimeter (i.e. all the way around) = 16 feet + 14 feet, which totals 30 feet.
The area means multiply one long side by one wide side, i.e. 8 x 7 = 56 square feet

Is this a rectangle? because if it is, area is length times width, so your area would be 8 * 7 = 56
Perimeter would be twice each side, since perimeter is the length of the outside.....so 2(7) + 2(8) = 14 + 16 = 30 is your perimeter!

Perimeter is the distance around, so you add each side, 8+8+7+7, which equals 30 ft.
Area is the amount of space INSIDE, so you multiply the two values together. 8*7, which equals 56 square feet.

Perimeter formula
P = 2L + 2W
P = 2(8) + 2(7)
P = 16 + 14
P = 30 feet
