Wood frog (the earliest species) will probably already have eggs laid. Spring peepers (maybe American toad as well) should be in the process now, and others will be soon. Depending on temperature and frog species, the eggs take 3 to 21 days to hatch.

Depends on the species- we, in WI, are getting tadpoles now- the bullfrogs are just starting to hatch. west virginia is a lot warmer than us (I am pretty sure) so you should be getting some already. Like I said though, it depends on the species, some hatch in mid april, others wait until June.

You can tell by looking in your pond for jelly like egg masses and see how developed those tadpoles are (they are neat to hold- the whole mass just quivers). Be gentle though- too much jostling can cause them to hatch early.

I'm in New york and I used to have one of those tarp covers a few years back and I think It was may or June there was a part that was filled with water and we found tadpoles we released most of them to Crandall park and we kept some. My cat's got to some of them after so we released the rest.

You won't start to see tadpoles in your pond if I have anything to say about it. You see, I steal their eggs, then market it as, "authentic caviar". People pay me fifty dollars an ounce for it! How can that much money possibly be wrong?
