Go to any Army Navy surplus store, outdoor store, or hunting store. MRE's are not necessarily Army only items. Be prepared to pay though. Last time I checked in the civillian sector they were about $12 each and that was about 4 years ago.

Civilian versions aren't hard to come by, but don't get your hopes up. Since they first were issued back in the 80's, it's been a persistent rumor that MRE really stands for "meals rejected by Ethiopians." If you were one of the lucky guys who always got the ham-and-lima-bean C-rats, cold, they're an improvement, but not by that much.

You might be able to get them at an army surplus store if you live close to a military base. Other then that if you know someone who is in the military you can ask them to get you one.

Any military surplus store; they're $7.00 per MRE.
I recommend Chicken Tetrazinni, Chicken & Noodle, and Meatball & Spaghetti.

If you call a military recruiting office in your area, they can get them at the Commissary on base for about $5.00. But if your 17-35 they might want to try and sale you an enlistment.

You can actually buy them at various internet sites. Amazon has them, too. Go to Amazon and type in "MRE" at the search box.

You can get them at surplus store and probably camping stores. The vegetarian menus are usually the better option, but not the bean burrito.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.
