zillow.com does an okay job for some of the country. In some areas it just uses your tax-assessment, which isn't really a good indicator of value. If you really want to know, spend the $200 and hire an appraiser.

There are many websites that offer house values, however the market is shifting so fast that you may not get an accurate value, as these sites are not updated as frequently as the market. Your best bet is to check with a top end realtor in your area such as Prudential, or Coldwell Banker, and ask them to do a CMA or "Certified Market Analysis" They offer this service free, and usually come in with realistic numbers. They may haunt you for a while to see if you wish to sell your home, as they are hungry for listings. The other option is to pay the $300. to $350. for a local licensed appraiser to come and do a formal inspection on the home. That will give you the absolute number for the value for similar comps sold in your area. Good Luck!!

There are sites doing it, but their information is always way off.
Zillow.com is terrible. Their numbers are not even close to reality.
Appraiser is not a good idea because an appraised value and market value are different.

Contact a real estate agent. Most agents do it for free. I do.
