Yes you will get more money for holiday rental but you will have higher costs as you will have to allow for cleaning after each client has moved out and your repair and up keep costs will be higher.

Plus side - very high weekly income
Minus side - lots of maintainence and problems if you can't keep it booked up.

Recommend long term rental to the more cautious, holiday rental to the more speculative. Try looking at a few rental sites to see if your property would be suitable.

Tourists pay more than 'natives' & if the property is one that is suitable for Holiday Rental it is unlikely to appeal to natives anyway.
