just make sure he has all of his comfy things like food, water, chew toys, blankie, etc. make sure you have him in a crate, or play area fence on linoleum and be sure to put pee pads down for her. it was hard the first time i left my little girl, but your dog will be fine if you make her comfy and she will be glad to see you when you get back.

thats a little vague. You mean you are just leaving her alone at the house while you go to work or something?
If you have an outside kennel I'd recomend leaving her outside for the day, she'll be happiest there. If you are going to keep her inside, don't give her free roam of the house. Giver her a specific area like the porch or close off the kitchen. Lay some news paper down on one side, remove anything youdon't want chewed up because she will chew, and give her access to water and many chew toys. If your in the process of house training then you'll have to come home to let her out at least once since puppies just can't hold it all day, but if thats not possible then you'll just hafta cleanup the mess when u get home, and trust me there will be one :)
the easiest way to make sure she uses the news paper or litter pad is to make the are she is in small enough to only fit her bed, the water and food dish and the news paper. this way she wont go to the bathroom in her bed or on her food and only onthe news paper. Otherwise you risk having to scrub the floor.
anyways, hope this helps.

First off.. it may be beneficial to start crate training him now while he is still a young pup especially if you anticipate long periods of Departure.. Google "Crate Training" or speak to someone at your local pet store. In the mean time,
1. Provide a toy with a treat inside, try a puppy"Kong:" stuffed with peanut butter.
2. A soft blanket complete with your scent or one that he is familar with... Perhaps you can put it in a overturned box so that it feels like a "den".
3. play soft comforting music. Classical works very well for dogs, as well as a recording of a heart beat played on loopat a muted tone...
4. You can also try excercising him alot before you go so he is pooped oiut..
REALLY invest into crate training~

Hi,
I have a dachshund and when I leave I turn on the TV to the Weather Channel. She likes to listen to the Weather Channel more than any other. She has never cried or wimpered once. When I get ready to go out, I tell her that I'm going now. I just say it in my normal everyday calm voice. I tell her the time I'm coming back and then I calmly walk out the door. As I am heading for the door, she is going to her bed to curl up and listen to TV.

Don't leave your puppy alone too long, and leave some chew toys and bones.
You might want to purchase a kennel if you don't already have one. That is good to use when training a puppy. It will help your puppy to be alone without getting into trouble.

I could disagree with regard to the crate, a minimum of for a domestic dog that youthful. definite, that's a great coaching device, and in case you have somebody to resign by potential of the domicile each and every couple of hours, that's going to be effective. A domestic dog left on my own for 6 hours isn't the worst ingredient in the international. A domestic dog locked in a crate for 6 hours with nowhere else to do away with is fantastically undesirable. definite, canines are den animals and it may well be great to make the crate available on your domestic dog to sleep in, yet i does not close the door for 6 hours. as quickly as the crate coaching instruments in, the domestic dog can sleep in there and if she has to do away with, she gets out of the crate to do it. i does not anticipate her to hold her bladder for an entire 6 hours till she's a minimum of 6 months previous! And definite, she'll sleep plenty once you're long gone. in case you may not get domicile at lunch, you would be able to desire to have cleansing to do. you will besides, a minimum of for a at the same time as. yet do not difficulty! you're doing issues properly on your new domestic dog!

When you come home, come home calm cool and collective. Make sure the puppy doesn't get too excited upon your return. Just take your time and if the puppy is in a cage give it a minuet or two before letting the pup out. Then take him/her outside to do its thing.

keep your dog in a safe & secure area & leave her with her favorite blanket, toys, etc
the more an area smells like herself, the more comfortable she'll be
