Yes you DO want to know about a flea's life cycle, so you understand how to get rid of them.
You need to treat all your animals. If one has them, so will they all (even if you haven't noticed it yet). They will also be in your carpet.
Use a veterinary product. I suggest Frontline - the spray can be used on kittens from 2 days old, and is completely safe as it stays on the skin and does not affect them internally. You will also need to treat your house with a veterinary spray, perhaps twice, vacuuming in between
No need for olive oil, Dawn dish soap, garlic or whatever other 'home remedies' people may suggest, Just good old fashioned, safe and effective Frontline. Note: petshop stuff is notorious for not working - that's why it's so cheap. With flea collars, the flea actually has to walk over the collar to die, so what's the point of them.
Frontline!

Call the vet. You don't need an appt. to get these and they work. Revolution, Advantage, and Frontline. You put any of these at the base of your pets neck and they work for 30 days. To treat the house, they have a spray. This stuff is much more expensive than dept store stuff, but this stuff works. Dept. store stuff is just like throwing your money away. It just doesn't work. Once you get them under control in your House, you will only have to treat pets once a month.

A vet could help you if you're having a hard time getting rid of her fleas. You should get flea shampoo and follow the directions (frequency) carefully. Make sure that you're other pets don't get fleas by giving them preventitive medication or even a flea collar.

bypass to the Vet and get some frontline dogs won't be able to be bathed 3 days formerly or after, it truly is a dosage prescribed via weight, don't worry with the stuff contained in the puppy keep that's been deadly to some cats & dogs and it would not paintings

Call the vet. The products you get in pet stores and department stores are not strong enough to get rid of fleas on you pet and in your house.

you may have to have his/her hair shaved. use front line and a color. keep her in. Funny My one cat always has flees in the summer and they disapear in the winter. Someone told me the really didi not disapear they go dormant. Warning do not research flees. I did not sleep for weeks. I was digging in my carpet with twizers and magnifing glass. eventually I went crazy picking my skin thinking crazy things. You dont want to know how a flees life cycle developes.

i swear this works, i just got two 7 week old kittens and they were infested with fleas. i wanted to get flea medicine but they are too young so someone at petsmart told me to rub them with olive oil. i did and pretty soon all the fleas started falling off dead. the ones that didnt die instantly came off a couple days ago. my two kitties are now happy and dont stratch themselves every couple minutes. good luck/. and as a bonus, their fur is softer and fluffier!
