I'd say some do, some don't. Some professors truly love to teach and make sure everyone is learning and enjoying themselves in class, and other professors make some students why they even bothered going into a teaching job if they hate doing it.

Yes, that is why they help all students in school. I've had some tough classes and the porofessors have opened their office hours past closing time to help those students who need help late at night, or those who work throughout the day.

Then there are some who don't care, but I haven't seen many of those...atleast not yet.

Do doctors care for their patients? Do parents care for their children?

Some do, and some don't. Others care for some while they can't stand the rest.

Like any other profession, academia draws people to the field from a variety of backgrounds and value systems. People go into whatever career field that they choose for a variety of reasons.
