I think Bush is upset over Nancy Pelosi's visit because he's afraid she'll steal the limelight, and maybe reveal things the Bush administration doesn't want Americans to know about. Bush has manipulated the media for six years, obviously because the media has allowed it, and Bush doesn't want anything 'leaked' that might upset his carefully orchestrated web of lies and deceit. The Bush administration has crafted an intricate policy of lies and fabrications. They don't want that revealed by some snooty Speaker of the House. -RKO- 04/03/07

coco d has a point. It shouldn't be Pelosi or even Condaleeza Rice.If Dick Cheney were a man he should go.What is his job description anyway? Serious question not being sarcastic. What does he do to earn his paycheck?I know he's next in line if something would happen to Bush but what does he do in mean time?He should be doing foreign relations right?Personally I think Bush put Condaleeza in just so we wouldn't have any foreign relations with middle eastern countries.Doesn't fit his agenda.

Bush has no concept of diplomatic relations.
I'm happy someone in our government is taking some initiative because it's impossible to go to war with every country on Earth despite what the warmongers might think (or not think at all as the case may be..)

Speaker Pelosi's visit to Syria points out to the world what an idiot the president is. His refusal to talk to Syria and other countries proves his ignorance. She is doing what HE should be doing....and that is negotiating and talking. He is too dumb to hold a conversation in English, much less with leaders of a country he knows nothing about - and doesn't want to learn anything about.
He knows nothing about the cultural differences in the world, thinks he is superior to everyone all over the world and he doesn't have to "lower" himself to speak with those he doesn't like.
He is dumb as a rock.

I would love to tell you why, but I don't think you would really care about the politics of this.
Hey Vickie, name one thing Gore did in the white house. He didn't do much of anything for the enviroment, did he? he was an empty suit then, and he didn't do anything more than Cheney is now.

I must have missed it when it was the job of the Speaker of the House to go to foreign countries and speak on behalf of the United States.
