I hope my answer does not lead to the extreme. But if you want to believe that this is a form of murder, you have to take into account what religion and spirituality says. It says that we are spiritual beings, and therefore regardless of the circumstances we were born in or the parents we were born unto. It was for a reason, a reason that is not always easily understandable to our conscious minds.

An example would be the birth of Jacob and Esau. God specifically designed a purpose for these young men. Now, had their parents aborted them. They would have never lived up to what could have been, and the entire Jewish tradition would be completely different or would not have existed.

If we abort a child's life, we also abort their mission in life. That might as well be the equivalent of murder. This is my honest opinion.

It depends on how you abort the baby, and to be honest I'm sick of this topic being brought up. If you just had sex, and it turns out you're pregnant, they have pills that you take that just prevents to cells from connecting. That is NOT murder. When you do that, you haven't killed anything, you just prevented to cells from attaching. It's simple, you see.
If there is in fact a real, breathing fetus in your womb, and you decide to abort it, then yes, that technically is considered 'murder'.
But, that's not the worst way you could abort a baby.
In China, what they used to do is when the head first came out of the mother, they chopped the head off. Sometimes, a mother will use a hanger to kill the baby. I don't have to tell you how that would work out.

To me, I think it also depends on how the mother made the baby. On the news there was a story of a 13-year-old girl who was raped by her uncle. She became pregnant, even though it wasn't her fault. To me, it is 100% OK to abort the baby in a situation like that.

People make it sound like aborting a baby is easy, and like the mother doesn't even care what happens to the baby. In reality, it is a miserable time. It's not easy for them to do. I used to got to school with a 15-year-old girl who had to abort her baby. From then on, she was shamed upon at our school. No one would look at her, and she even got letters from people saying that they were going to kill her. She was miserable for about a year, until people eventually forgot.

Many people believe that having an abortion is about 'pro-choice', but I believe that abortion is murder. From the moment that child is conceived, to the moment that it's born, it is considered by the Holy Word of God, a living human being. The Bible says that all children are fearfully and wonderfully made, and to kill something that has life, is in my opinion, murder.

In my opinion yes it is. Since once the sperm hits the egg it begins to grow, (no matter how slow) it is still life.
I do however also believe in birth control, but only they types that does not change the body function, (No shots, or medications).
But I also believe sex is for the married (only with your husband or wife).
And should be responsible-(If you can't feed them don't have them)
I see too many people having baby after baby and can not afford to feed them and they die. So let's have more maybe this one will live...the more we have, the more we will have to take care of us when we are old)
And please (for those reading) if you have never been here in a 3rd world country when a baby dies because of that kind of thinking, (imposed by certain churches) don't get pushed out of shape, try it some time over and over and over.

The real question is...when does life begin? If we can not agree on this point...then we will continue to argue in circles and produce a lot of heat and very little light.

Most Christians(not 100%) believe that life begins at conception and therefore believe that abortion is murder.

I personally believe it to be the ultimate in irresponsibility and selfishness and consider abortion to be murder.

I think abortion is ending an innocent and helpless life I am all in favor of letting mothers see the 4d ultrasounds of the baby so they think twice about the choice.

I would not have chosen the word murder since most people engaged in it don't necessarily realize they are ending a helpless life.

many people feel they are stuck in a lose lose situation... It's more like an animal that chews off its leg to try and free themselves...it's a lose lose.... but there are crisis pregnency centers and help out there.

Yes, I believe it is. Saying that it would be the best thing for the child is wrong because the mother should have thought of that before they opened their legs. (sorry if that is too vulgar)

I believe abortion is like divorce. It is too easy to get a divorce, and so the rate is going up. If abortions become easy to have, then people will not worry about staying abstinent or using protection.

It may be depending on the beliefs of the person who does it. Murder means the intent to terminate a human life. It may be worse to allow a child to be born who would not be loved or cared for. Children in many parts of the world will have a miserable life and die unloved and often hated. Would they not have been better off if they had never been born.

Yes. I believe that abortion as a choice of the mother is murder.

Abortion is murder. It is killing a life, be it a just-becoming one.

It is being debated whether life starts before the heart starts beating or after. As the heart forms after the foetus has taken the shape of a baby.
