ive been doing great until this 37th week now i have HUGE ankles and the dr said my blood pressure is high, anyone else go through this?

It's not uncommon at all, but it isn't good. Eliminate salt....don't add any salt on your food or in your cooking. look at the labels on everything and don't buy it if it isn't sodium-free. Yes this is bland and tasteless, maybe use other spices or lemon juice to add flavors. Eat fresh. But think of it as helping you and your baby. Sleep on your left side , preferably with your feet elevated. Still drink plenty of water and keep hydrated, though. Do this and at your next Dr. visit you will have lower blood pressure, less swelling and maybe even lost a couple pounds of water weight.

i developed high blood pressure also during one of my pregnancies but it went away after i had the baby. you ankles do get swollen, you need to take it easy and limit the amount of time you are on your feet. when you are sitting down elevate your feet, you will notice instant relief.

My bp likes to go up a bit in those final days of pregnancy. Calcium/magnesium supplements and aged garlic usually helps- along with lots of water.

not the high blood pressure but i had really swollen ankles

hi oh my....... sorry thats horrible i went through that at exactly my 36th week of pregnancy, in fact i was asked to stay in the hospital for observation because my dr. said i had to be relaxed since i was almost due...but try to have it easy and drink plenty of water & try to eat ice.....

I did...It'll go away after the baby is born...
