Sadly second babies are worse than first babies. Our bodies have already done the work of relaxing all our ligaments once and our body's ore more flexible(in a bad way) the second time around.
Just hang in there for another week. You really should give your baby time to develop properly. Then at 37 weeks start taking 3000 mg of evening primrose oil. This is a natural remedy to help your cervix ripen. It will not cause you to go into labor. But if your cervix is sufficiently ripened guess what happens :D
I am sorry that it is so hard on you this time around ((HUGS)).

Your baby is nowhere near due yet!!!! Average gestation period for a second time mother is 40 weeks and 4 days!!!
I know it's difficult but inducing is worse for you and your baby, and leads to increased risk of emergency c section, which is more dangerous for you and your baby! Inducing when your baby isn't ready to birth is the worst thing you can do and will make you feel worse than you do now.
I know it's hard and painful but you have to have patience, the baby will come when it is ready. Please don't even consider induction until the baby is late (at least 42 weeks +) PLEASE read the links at the bottom. At least to take your mind off the pain?
These last few weeks are meant to be awful. They have to be to make giving birth preferable!!! It's the way of the world!
I wish you all the luck in the world, please don't force your baby out before he's ready, it's dangerous for you both. Congratulations, it won't be too much longer. You're on the home stretch now!!!!
Good labour vibes to you.

I am in the same boat suffering not from being pregant but sciatica- and my dr said the best thing for me will be to have the baby (I am 36 weeks dialated to a little over 4 cm) but he dosen't want to do anything until i at least make it to 37 weeks (unless i go in before on my own). unless it is a legitmate reason (health) they still consider 36 weeks to early. if your dr thought that baby was really big wouldn't they have check him?
Pain is natural for pregnancy however, it does seem to be worse with the second and third ones for some reason (i thought they said it was easier after the 1st)
good luck

Believe me, I know how rough it can get... I've dealt with sciatic pain and pubic symphysis dysfunction. My last two pregnancies I walked around at 4cm for weeks, in addition to going overdue a week with my third pregnancy. I'm not making light of how miserable you must feel- but induction has risks for you and the baby (not to mention, like you said 36 weeks is early). I was induced with my first baby and it's no picnic any more than being miserably pregnant.
If you have any particular complaints you want to post, I might know of something that helps. Chiropractic helped me a ton with the general aches and pains.
Wishing you the best of luck!

i just gave birth 7 weeks ago and before i had the baby i felt the same way mt ob wouldn't induce me until i was 41 weeks the baby was to big and i almost couldn't have the baby! he was 8lbs 11 oz and I'm a pretty small person i had an extremely hard labor. i would talk to your ob if your in that much pain.if i ever have another baby and I'm in that pain i would try harder to be induced. the only reason she wouldn't induce me was because i wasn't dilated only to 1 cm. but I'm sure they could induce you because you your doing better than i was...good luck!! :)

The aches and pains get worse the more kids you have. Really there is nothing you can do, unless your health or the baby's health are at risk your Dr will not induce you. Sorry!
I have 5 kids been there and understand how you feel. Keep your chin up you are near the finish line!

I could advise you name your OBGYN instantly to explain the problem and get scientific recommendation. My water broke at 36 weeks, and I saved leaking and leaking, soaking one pad after one more for you to the health center, and I had an emergency cesearean segment inside two hours when you consider that my daughter was once within the breech presentation. If your youngster is breech, and also you preserve leaking water, your youngster won't have ample amniotic fluid in her atmosphere, leaving it open to illness. Are you in exertions? Water breaking earlier than exertions occurs to fifteen% of pregnancies. It's no longer a gigantic percent however are not able to be neglected, however. I didn't consider contractions till I received to the health center however through then, it was once located I could have an emergency c-segment, which ensued very speedily. If you've got your youngster now, possibilities are matters will end up excellent. Babies spend the ninth month gaining weight so all her organs have completely built. A healthful natural birthweight is 5lbs eleven.5oz to 8lbs 12oz. My daughter was once born at 5lbs. 11oz., simply part an oz. under the healthful natural birthweight and she or he didn't need to spend time within the nicu. Good good fortune and congratulations quickly to the delivery of your healthful youngster!

0 I am 39 weeks PG and hs anyone used Primerose oil to induce labor?
I really want to have this baby dose primerose oil work or acupressure work?. Has anyone ever used this before? If so did it work??? PLEASE HELP
YOu asked this like over a week ago--SO HOW FAR ALONG ARE YOU?????
***WHY ARE YOU RUSHING YOU BABY AT 34-35-36 weeks along-THE BABY IS NOT READY!
AND WHAT IS UP WITH USING CASTOR OIL AT 35 weeks ALONG?!?!??!
I doubt the doctor will induce. 36 weeks is a little soon and the baby's lungs are still developing. What kind of pain is it? Braxton hicks? If it is false labor they won't do anything about it. I was 2cm for a few weeks and ended up delivering at 40 weeks. They may give you some kind of pain medication but I don't see them inducing you unless they see the baby is in some kind of harm

I hate to break it to you, but I had an appt yesterday and I asked the doctor the same thing and I was told that they dont induce for maternal discomfort!!
Hang in there, your baby will be here before you know it and you will be like "pain, what pain?!!"

The earliest a doctor will even consider inducing is 38 weeks. Explain to him/her everything you just told us. They might be able to do it at 38 weeks, but any earlier may put the baby at a higher risk of having problems.
