Are these contractions, gas or braxton hicks. I have not paid attention to any consistancy and it lasts a while. sometimes it hurts more then others. I am on my third pregnancy and hathis before. I feel like I do right before my period starts. Any help would be nice. I do not wat to call the Dr. for nothing.

the only way to tell is to start timing them and if they consistently get closer together and last longer (3-5 mins apart 1 min long)than it's the real deal. Considering you are just 31 weeks the chances are really good that they are braxton hicks, these usualyy go away with movement and deep breathing.

you are probably experiencing braxton hicks, but it could also be contractions...you should probably go straight to the doctors...with my first i had braxton hicks a few times, but i wasnt sure so all six times i went straight to the er...so when i was finally in labor i though it was braxton hicks and i waited two days before i went in...so be on the safe side and go...

That happened to me earlier in my pregnancy, I think I was about 24 weeks. The doctor couldnt find any real problems but told me to sit with my feet up and drink plenty of water. I guess I was mildly dehydrated and that can cause the cramping. Also- I found that sitting with my feet up made me feel alot better. If it persists, you should definitely call the doctor. Better safe than sorry...ya know.

I think those are the Braxton-Hicks.
