I dont know when to go to the doctor again?? I have an appointment coming up very soon, but its for a ultrasound to see if have anything left after a D&C i am supposed to have? the doctor never told me when to go back and get one! He didnt tell ME ANYTHING! I took another pregnancy test yesterday and it said i was still PREGNANT? can this be true? can i still be pregnant?

Unfortunately, it sounds as though you had or are going through a miscarriage. In my experience with Dr.'s unless they feel that you are going to hemorrhage or you are too far along they tell you to go home, relax and come back in a couple weeks. I know it's hard to relax when this is happening as I have been there. The HCG in your system will remain for some time even after a miscarriage. This may be why you get a positive result still on your test. If it were me, I would go to the emergency room or urgent care where they would surely do an ultrasound to confirm everything is OK and then determine why you are bleeding, or to confirm that you miscarried. Hope this helps.

You can still be pregnant but a urine test is inaccurate at this point because of residual hormones.

You can bleed during pregnancy from many things and still have a healthy full term baby, I can't say whether this is what is happening to you.

You DO need to go the doctor and have the baby checked again and probably by ultrasound. Then if you have had a miscarriage and there is residual tissue you will have to talk about the risks vs the benefits of a D&C.

Take care.

Can you find a new doctor?

I have heard of pregnant woman bleeding heavily, and the baby not being affected. In fact, it happened to a co worker. She worried and worried that she was having a miscarriage, but as it turned out, she had a minor blood clot. Her doctor gave her an ultrasound THAT DAY to check things out, so she didn't have to fret over it....like you are. (How Awful!)

The pregancy test is simply detecting the hormone in your urine. That hormone would still be in your system, irregardless if you miscarried or if you're still pregnant (given that you miscarried very recently).

I wish you luck.

I had easy sessions for the 1st 3 or 4 months (became 23 & 2 a protracted time in the past so won't have the capacity to be beneficial) of each of my pregnancies, which i'm quite beneficial lasted approximately 3 days. I had no problems with the two being pregnant.

yes this has happened to me twice the first time I was pregnant with twins and lost 1 and still remained pregnant and had a baby the second time I bled the way your saying it turned out I had placenta previa which caused me to bleed off and on for 5 months I even had blood clots and my hcg levels went down they were getting close to giving me a d&c but the levels went back up and I still carried him so I would go to the ER and have them check it out.

Pregnancy hormones still remain in the body for awhile after a miscarriage. If you're having doubts get a second opinion or request an ultrasound.

you need to go now and have another ultrasound vaginal make sure that you did miscarry the baby, don't let them do a d&C before they give you an ultrasound. do you know that some people are pregnant with twins and can miscarry one of the babies and still carry the other to term, this may be what happened to you, just don't get that D&C until you know for sure!

Oh my, you must be going out of your mind with worry and frustration.

I have a girlfriend who had bleeding through her entire pregnancy and the baby was born healthy. You should get another opinion. A D&C will abort the pregnancy if it is still viable.
Go to a proper OBGYN and if that one offers you a diagnosis without checking you, go to another one.

All the best

you arent supposed to bleed during pregnancies. the only time that u can bleed is when the baby is attaching itself to the uterus. other than that, u cannot bleed during pregnancies. if u do bleed its a bad sign. it means that ur not pregnant.
