Your dog should be fine. Dark chocolate poses the most danger to dogs. Milk chocolate would have to be consumed in higher volumes.

Symptoms of poisoning are: nervousness, hypertension, diarrhea, urinary incontinence (uncontrollable urination), panting, excitement, and seizures.

If you cannot see a vet, you might want to induce vomitting with some syrup of ipecac. But is probably not necessary.

I've had this happen with chocolate bars under the Christmas tree and a hungry Jack Russel Terrier.

That's not a lethal amount for your dog, but it could very well make her sick. If she starts vomiting or developes diareha, take her to the emergancy vet.

I don't think that that much is lethal. I think it has to be about 3 oz or so. Unless he is vomiting or showing any signs of unusual behavior, I would jus leave him as he is. I hope he's all right!

My 18 lbs Italian Grey Hound eat a 1 lbs chocolate bar. I just kept an eye on her, and she seemed to be alright.

I don't believe you should induce vomiting..I don't think that amount will harm him..just keep and eye on him and if he starts getting sick call the vet..but I'll bet he will be o.k....just keep the chocolate out of reach from now on..Good Luck

No that shouldn't be a lethat amount, I'd be worried if he ate that amount of bakers chocolate.
But just in case if you notice vomitting or muscle vibration call your vet.

Look up the number of an emergency vet in your area. Give them a call and they'll tell you what to do. They'll probably tell you to give him Hydrogen Peroxide to make him vomit.

is he vomitting? or having diarrhea? most 24 hour emergency pet clinics will answer this one on the phone for free, without a visit I think. Good luck!
