It is just above your taskbar, to enable it, click on "view" in the top left corner of menus and then click on "status bar", which is the second one!

Usually a status bar is associated with an application, not the entire computer system.

For applications, it's usually at the bottom of the window.

Click View at the top and click Status Bar in order to turn it on. There are other options that you can turn on and off in the View menu. Check View | Toolbars and View | Explorer bar.

Open a can of peas and pour some out right next to your keyboard. When the status bar comes out to take a pea...grab it!

Go to the "view" menu in the "windowsexplorer" and tick for "statusbar"

Mine is in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, but I believe they can be moved elsewhere.
