I have straight straight hair and have never really gotten split ends but today I was looking at some of my hair and I saw a bunch of split ends. Does anyone know what to do once you have them

Alot of times split ends are from color, or heat damage.
If you have not gotten a haircut in a while over styling will cause you ends to split and break.
It is good to get a cut every 3-4 months. And when I say cut you don't have to really cut alot..just a trim will work.

Blow drying and straightening mostly. Not drinking enough water. Use a conditioning shampoo. Use conditioner on your ends really good and keep it on there for about 2 -3 minutes. Then rinse. Or you can go to a Paul Mitchell expert and get a shampoo and conditioner. They have a really good selection of products. I would recommend the Super Strong. Do you get your hair trimmed about every 2 months? That will help too.

Time for trim!!
your hair either gets split end due to over drying( blow dry, Sun damage) or not brushing it carefully enough(most hair damage occurs while brushing out hair wet) Use a bigger tooth comb and a good detangling conditioner.

This is what happens when your hair is dry or damaged. The main causes are over-coloring, perming, and even over-brushing. It's also called Trichoptilosis. You're going to have to cut off the ends.

Hey:) There many reasons. like when you cut your hair with regular scissors. Also when your use heat tools that not care at all your hair. I use to iron my hair twice a week but hair still healthy and straight as pretty as well. I have to give all the compliments to my dryer and my flat iron. I will never change there! By the way in case you wanna to know you can get they online in this website:)

Split ends occur because your hair is dry, damaged, and needs moisture.

The best products to use are ones that say for dry or damaged hair or products that say that they contain moisturizers. A good product is Sunsilk (the pink bottle is specifically for dry hair and split ends). (http://www.gethairapy.com/)

you get spilt ends when your hair needs a trim, so basically it is telling you that you should trim your hair. you should always be trimming your hair every 4-6 weeks, that way you can avoid getting spilt ends.
