Question

When ever I get on my period I get extremely tired
(I just want to sleep all day and all night)
and I feel very sick like I've come down with the Flu.
and I was wondering if other women go through this too and if this is normal?
These symptoms just started a few months ago and once I'm done with my period I feel 100% better.
Could this mean I might be Anemic?

Yes it could mean you're anemic, I get the same way. You do lose a lot of blood when you get your period, therefore depending on how heavy your periods are you can get anemic. Go to a doctor he might tell you to use a certain kind of iron supplements when you're on your period.

I definitely get the fatigue. I'm just lucky that I start on the weekends so I actually can sleep all day. I know I feel pretty crappy too, but not exactly like I have the flu. It's normal, but it's a pain (literally, unfortunately) to put up with. If you're not considering having children soon, try getting on the pill. It's worked wonders for me.

As far as anemia, it's possible. I know I was often borderline anemic before I went on the pill, so you may want to get it checked out.

I too get very tired when I'm on it. I just want to sleep all day! Although I don't feel sick like I have the flu, but every woman is different during their period. You should be on the safe side and go to the Doctor's. Good luck.

I'm the same way just before my period for about a week..just to make you are not anemic go to the Dr. and have your blood tested.

Hmm, are you eating enough? I feel rotten too espically before I had children. I was in so much pain and would vomit call your doc I wish I had, but as I got older it got better.
