I know this is sounds wierd and I already know smoking is bad for me, so please save the advice. My dr. prescribed Singulair for seasonal allergies/asthma. What I want to know is if it is alright to smoke and take this medication. He did not ask me if I smoked and I did not even think about it until I got home. Thanks for the info!

I am a smoker and also prescribed Singulair and Allegra. I have not seen any problems and I've been on the medicine for over 3-4yrs and been a smoker for 7 yrs

Smoking might interfere with the metabolism of the medication. It is hard for me to say it is ok to smoke and take this medication but other than maybe messing with the metabolism I don't see any interaction.

It's okay, but it would be ideal..(especially if you have asthma) to quit smoking. I would talk to your Dr. about a smoking cessation program. If he knew you smoked he would have told you .....that smoking is the WORST thing for someone with asthma.
