Oh ,honey, don't worry about it! I got pregnant at 16 with my first daughter. I have two girls now. At the time I was only 120 pounds and I gained 50 pounds or more. I was so stressed about it too, but you will lose the weight. Focus on that baby for now, your body will thank you later, I promise. Now I am 23, 24 next month and I weigh 120 again and look better than I did in high school. Not saying it will take you that long but you will lose the weight.

Ok first of all, you are a teenager, teenagers need to consume between 2,300 and 2,500 calories a day to stay healthy, add to that pregnancy where is is recommended you eat about 500 extra calories a day and you should be eating about 3,000 calories a day! You need to start nourishing your body and the baby's and not worry sooooo much about weight gain. First time mothers often put on a higher amount of weight. You will lose about 15-20lbs of it at birth. Then as your fluid levels (blood and water retention) go back to normal you will slowly lose more. And finally, if you breast feed that will help you get back down to your prepregnancy weight as well.

I gained 36 lbs alltogether. The day home from the hospital I was 16lbs lighter. I lost all but 5lbs in the next 4 months. When I weaned my daughter at 12 months the other 5lbs came off within 2 weeks. My doctor said sometimes your body will hold onto a few pounds as a fat reserve while nursing. I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 110lbs.

I gained 25 pounds with each of my 5 pregnancies and lost 10 before I left the hospital. My sister gained 90 pounds with her pregnancy, lost 30 before she left and the other 60 within two months! Just remember, that if you aren't careful and do diet right now, you can hurt your baby permanetly. She needs you to eat fruits and veggies and all your important stuff.

I only gained 18lbs with my daughter....she was 8lbs 4oz....3 days after I had her I got on the scale and had only lost 8lbs believe it or not.
But within a month I had lost 25lbs so no worries.
