other than honorable to general discharge?

when i was getting out of the navy, i had recieved an OTH.one of my shipmates tole me that i could get my oth changed to a general discharge. is this true?

Maybe.....You need to go before the Discharge Upgrade Board...Similar to civilian, expungement. It takes time and a lot of paper. If you have been a really good boy, since the discharge and have shown you are a valued citizen, then maybe. A lot will depend on why your got the OTH discharge.

All discharges are reviewable and subject to recategorization. Contact the Military Records office DOD for review steps.
