i used to be the same way. as i got older i found that as long as i knew i was doing the right thing, and i was happy (for a change) i was just going to do what i wanted to do. im a much happier and better person because of it. you cant live your life for everyone else.

Gaday Sarah. My answer is 'yes'. But it depends a lot on the context - in some ways I can be a bit of a rebel and despise the consequences. However, in my kind of job it is very important. As a teacher, I don't find it difficult to do the right thing but looking like I am , in the eyes of others, can be a whole different issue. Appearances, right or wrong, can be the difference between keeping your job and being successful or being subjected to legal action. It is that serious.

Not anymore. There are times when I base my actions on what my friends might think, but I also value their opinions greatly. I try to be myself as much as possible; it's one of the biggest lessons that my dad ever taught me :)

I really don't base any of my actions on what others will think, maybe that's the problem w/me. I really don't care outside of my employers paying me. Just be who you are.
