When I started back to school my daughter had never had a bottle either. The only bottle she would take was a Playtex Nurser with the brown nipple. I just pumped my breastmilk and my husband fed her that. Any other nipple she would spit right out. The brown nipple has a different feeling - more natural. I am very happy to hear that you are breastfeeing. Keep it up!

Leave the house. Seriously there is no way she is going to take a bottle until you are completely gone. Also consider a sippy cup instead, you can even take her to buy a special cup she can only use when you are not home.

Another thing you can consider is that as long as you are gone less than 12 hours a day she can probably make up for missed feedings when you are around to make up for any missed feedings. An 8 month old "should" be nursing 5-12 times a day.

You may be surprised how well Daddy does if you aren't around. At the feeding and the getting her to sleep.

Get someone other than you to offer the bottle, and in a different chair than you usually nurse in.

Remember, she still needs breastmilk (or formula) as her main source of calories at 8 months old. She should be taking in 26-32 ounces of fluids each day with no more than 4 ounces of juice (and preferably no juice at all).

Try different types of bottles/nipples.

At 8 months try leaving her a little each day and she will eventually learn that she has to take it from daddy or get nothing at all.

When you do get back to school, may I suggest you pay special attention to the spelling classes?

Maybe if you try slowly weaning her...
