Congratulations! It's going to happen soon!
Make sure you have your bag all packed for the hospital.
I wish you and the baby a smooth delivery!

I have to agree with the others that have said that you should go to the hospital. Last Saturday morning I was having slight pains and when I went to the bathroom I saw some light bleeding as well. I went to the hospital ASAP and about an hour after I got there my water had broken and my son was born a few hours later. I'm not telling you that you are in labor but you should definitely go and get yourself looked at because you just never know. Good luck to you and Congrats!!

If you're contractions are not regular they are still Braxton Hicks and those are the practice contractions.
I am concerned about this bleeding though. Do you mean that you lost your mucous plug and it is tinged with a little blood? If so this is just another sign labor is close.
Any other kind of bleeding that you are having I would get checked out by a doctor, it could indicate a problem.
Good luck and I hope you are in true labor very soon and that it is easier then expected :)

I'm 37 weeks and 4 days with baby #8 and I'd say YES labor is starting. The bleeding is probably the capillaries along the cervix as it is dilating or it could be part of the "bloody show". Either way, I'd say you'll be holding your sweet babe in a matter of hours. At most 48 hours.
Contractions can take a while to get regular. Try to rest as much as possible while they are not too bad to save your energy for the actual birth.
Congratulations!!

Go to the hospital. If you have "light bleeding" you need to at least get that checked out. There's a chance it could be the mucous plug, but there's the chance its something else. Again, go to a hospital. You can't just ignore something that looks like light bleeding.
As far as the contractions go, since you're that far along you ought to go just in case they're labor. There's a good chance this is it. If it isn't, no harm done.

Just so you are aware - my contractions were never regular - they went from 6 to 10 mins apart for the entire blessed labour.
When I got checked at my regular appointment while waiting for contractions to become regular and I was still walking and joking around with the receptionish I was actually 10 cm dilated and fully effecaed - this was a first baby and he showed up 5 hrs later.
In other words - If in doubt it never hurts to check. They will advise you if you are to early. Good luck!

It sounds like you may be in the early stages of labor.
When your contractions are consistently 5 minutes apart for at least an hour, you can bet it is time!
Congrats!!

I'm going to assume you spoke to your medical professional about your light bleeding, as that is a sign of something.
But, if everything is ok and you aren't in labor.....
Your uterus will have to contract hundreds of times before it is ready to literally push out your child. If you are well rested, and ready, you can do things to help things along. If not, get some sleep, it's the last you are going to have for a while (3 years lol) .
Here's what you can do to make the contractions more regular (help kick start labor)
keep moving. walking around your house, scrub your kitchen floor (carefully) and doing chores is one way to help your uterus contract.
Have lots of sex. (actually all you need is semen, but my husband wouldn't do it in a cup for me, so sex it was! )
Orgasms.
Spicy food
Roll your nipples. (I'm not kidding, it helps your uterus, but it feels weird doing it to yourself for a non-sexual purpose! )
Good luck!!!

What you are likely experiencing is what's called "bloody show." When this happens, you should give birth within the next day to a week (depends on the woman). Good luck and congrats!

Sounds like it's starting, but not time to rush off to the hospital yet. Congratulations!
