Okay, I'm noticing quite a few rude and downright disrespectful questions being asked that have little to do with finding an answer. "Why are Americans so this?" "Why are the Brits so this?" "Why are the Japanese so that?" If someone truely wanted to find out a question, they'd put it in kinder words. However, I've noticed that alot of young Americans seem to respond with worse grammar and more threats than most. Whether this be coinsicence, or because there are so many angry young Americans, I'm not sure. I will say that we *ALL* should be compelled to be diplomatic. When you meet a person from another country, you have an obligation to show them just how great your country is and that you're a product of that. At the very least, you should just be polite for the sake of politeness. It seems all people do anymore is look for a fight, just so they can be part of something. Well, I've said my piece.

It's easier to fight back, rather than be a bigger person and try to turn away from a fight.

The reason is simple. The American government has the most bizarre foreign policy. They have, unfortunatly for the American people, allowed the whole world to feel obliged to hate America. From insignificant remarks about how dumb or brash the American people are, down to full on terrorist attacks it is the government that is to blame. Why does the government feel as if they have to interfer with every single other country, be it war because they want oil... cough, sorry, erm... to bring down Saddam (by the way did they actually ask the Iraqi people if they were happy with the current regime?) or trade issues with other countries, or imposing political policies on other, independent, countries? The American government is NOT the worlds police, advisory, all being power. As soon as the government stops bullying and harrasing other countries the world would be a better place.

It,s not just Americans, it,s the whole bloody world, it,s about one thing only, money some people have it others do not. Poor nations despise rich one,s . The USA is the most wealthy nation so a lot of hate and jealousy is aimed at it. People in poorer nations have nothing to lose so can make trouble for nations who are more prosperous, this causes a chain reaction world wide. So we all turn inwards and behave the way we do.

I dont think its just Americans. I am american, my mother is from the U.K. and I lived there for a while. I belive that with patience and respect we can all get along. America itself is figting, within itself. I dont belive that we can help anyone without first helping our own people. It is wonderfull that we send aid to africa, what about the children who live in poverty in America. What about our homeless, we walk by them everyday and ignore them. What about our children figting in the streets, they shoot each other over drugs. How can we save the world if we cant even save ourselfs. We (America) need to let all of these other countrys figure out there own ways of goverment and fix our problems. We need to bring our troops home and fix our economy and our poverty before we help other people. I suport the troops, I hate my goverment for putting them in danger.

Humans are tribal creatures. It's just that national identities have taken the place of smaller groups in that case. It's to be expected.

People can't get along for one reason and one reason only..."we" need to be better than everyone else. If "we" are not "the best" than "we" have no reason to live. Humans will always live like this...unfortunately.

Overgeneralizations are unfair,yes--but rampant.Just prove them otherwise,my friend.
For example,I am American, and I use proper grammar, know quite a lot about world geography, etc.I am living proof that we are not all Bubba's redneck buddy!

I know why.....
People make an A-S-S out of you and me......(ASSUME)
Examples:
Sometimes I'm quiet.....(some people think that means trouble)
If I joke alot.....(some people think I'm a show-off)
I live in Alabama ...was raised in Arizona.....(some think I'm uneducated)
