What did you do to survive? My boy had colic for 3.5 months and i thought i was going to die. I felt like driving off a bridge or into a tree. We sat on the couch for hours plugging our ears and watching him suffer and scream for hours as there was no helping him. They say they dont feel pain with colic, but i think they are wrong! There is definatly pain in their lil bodies as they suffer for hours. He would scream so hard he would turn purple and baisicly stop breathing ,clinch his hands and his body was so tense he felt like you could snap him if you touched him.But by about 4 months he finally cheered up and grew out of this stage. Yes there is hope but it is a LONG road. I think ppl thought we didnt love our child because we were so miserable and unhappy with very little good to say about our little one but that was not the case, just wasnt a fun time. So if you go through this it WILL end ,just not any time soon. Just dont drive into a tree or off a bridge.Whats your colic stories?

Hi, colic is a condition experienced by some babies that usually goes away be 3 months.
From my understanding there is a specific time of day it usually occurs. My first daughter had colic every evening from 6 pm to 11pm. Thank goodness I had an infant swing, it seemed to distract her somewhat, and I also used an infant colic medication from the local drugstore that contained simethicone, a peppermint tasting liquid that I put on her tongue. It seemed to help.
It will go away. To help prevent colic, don't smoke during pregnancy. Have patience...

My baby had colic the 1st 3 months. It was from gas. But he would cry so much I felt like running away! I am a single mom and I endured this alone. And I felt so bad for my little baby. He didn't cheer up until I started giving him gas drops. I had no idea they had gas drops until later otherwise I would have given it to him sooner.

My brother had colic really bad when he was an infant. He would cry and cry and cry sometimes. I had a lot of success massaging his stomach and just talking to him. It is a long road, hang in there though! My brother is 5 now and a healthy happy kid!

My baby had colics for 3 month also. It was alway at nighttime...every night crying. I put warm cloth on her tummy and carried her with the tummy on my underarm, also sitting and moving her legs would help. It was hard but I survived.

okay first of all you stop craving gassy things like dairy items, rice and some veges and see if they work or not, secondly you should start giving him "babies magic tea" of secretsoftea.com, actually I've tried it and found it much better than the medicine advertised to fight against colic

I would carry her, pacing back and forth for hours, crying as hard as she was. It was the most frustrating feeling not being able to soothe your child. I had the vacuum cleaner on alot...drove my next door neighbor insane..but she would calm down often when she heard it.
